Scope:
Rheology is an interdisciplinary research area in the field of material science, and its importance has been growing rapidly because of scientific/industrial development of various kinds of materials. For the rheological research in the next generation, we absolutely need young active rheologists who can flexibly make an international and/or inter-institute collaboration on a basis of their friendship.
The International Workshop for East Asian Young Rheologists (IWEAYR) was organized for providing the East Asian young rheologists with an opportunity of starting this collaboration. This is a quite informal workshop, and its basic idea is to highly encourage the young researchers to communicate/discuss/interact under a friendly and informal atmosphere. The attending professors just help the young researchers.
Following the first IWEAYR (IWFEAYR) in Seoul, Korea in 2006, IWEAYR has been successfully organized in Asian countries with a circulating manner;
1st IWEAYR in Seoul, Korea in 2006
2nd IWEAYR in Kyoto, Japan in 2007
3rd IWEAYR in Shanghai, China in 2008
4th IWEAYR in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand in 2009
5th IWEAYR in Pusan, Korea in 2010
6th IWEAYR in Yamagata, Japan in 2011
The 7th IWEAYR will be held in Beijing, China in 2012, in succession.
The conference is to provide young researchers in the various aspects of rheology an opportunity to present their work and to enhance contacts among the East Asian community and with colleagues in other countries. We hope the conference will also serve to boost rheology research and education in the East Asian communities. The young researchers willing to start-up his/her future collaboration as well as professors wishing to help it is highly welcome to join the work shop.

Registration Fee:
Everyone who attends the workshop needs to pay the registration fee as follows.
This registration fee will cover hotel room (1 professor/room and 2 students/room) for 4 nights, meal, banquet.

We will arrange accommodations for all participants and companions. The charges for the rooms (4 nights) are already included in the registration fee.
If you need a big suite for family members rather than a standard room, please state it in the registration form. You need pay additional fees by yourself.

Excursion:
The City excursion including the Forbidden City and other sites is scheduled on Feb 4/Saturday. The price including lunch provided by the travel agent is 500 RMB, and the excursion fee is NOT included in the registration fee and to be paid separately. Reservation is required via the registration form which has been sent from the organizing committee to the registered care taker of each group.
